Description: The Academy Is....a five-piece melodic rock band from Chicago, Illinois. Their debut self-titled EP was released by their hometown label, LLR Records in March of 2004. The songs on the EP have exploded the band onto the Chicago scene with a rapidly growing fanbase.

Random Facts:

- For a short time, The Academy Is...was called "The Academy Ad" (as seen on an old Fueled By Ramen advertisement.) Apparently they used this name in between The Academy and The Academy Is... They changed their name because there was already a band called "The Academy".

- The Academy had a demo (Titled "Demonstration") CD that had two tracks on it:
1. Memento Mori
2. In Our Defense

*Note: This is from back when TAI was on LLRecords, this is obviously not the band line-up or record label they are on anymore. Also I didn't write any of this besides the random fact, it was off of the LLR site before it closed. I did however change some information so it was correct.
