- He got his nickname from being a butcher at Pick 'n Save which made him want to be vegetarian. When TAI asked him to join the band, they told him they would just call him "The Butcher" and he agreed because he didn't think it would stick like it did.
- Enjoys painting, drawing, and other artistic things. He has designed TAI tour posters, TAI album artwork, t-shirts, and more.
- Appeared in Cobra Starships video for "Good Girls Go Bad."
- Used to be in a band called "Last Place Champs". They put out an album called "The Code".

- He was also in another band after Last Place Champs. This band was Cue The Violins,
although it was not called that at the time. The band was called "The Sympathy Card", and it was before TAI, later they became known as Cue The Violins. There is only one known song of The Butcher playing in this band and it was a demo called "Love Is An Action Verb".
